The Animal Welfare Society has strived to create its niche in the world of animal lovers by selflessly working towards the benefit of our speechless friends. Each effort, put in by each of our dedicated team members has created a stir in many a heart. Some of the services rendered by the Animal Welfare Society are :

• Animal Rescue Home: We provide Shelter and Rescue Home to Animals as this organization was set up and run by a group of volunteers to rescue neglected, abandoned and unwanted animals.
• Ambulatory Services: Ambulatory services are provided to pick up the sick, injured, accident victimized and disabled animals that are then shifted to the Animal Shelter or Rescue Home for treatment and necessary care. The Association has well experienced Veterinary Doctors for conducting surgery, treatment and care of the injured animals at the Animal Shelter, under the guidance of Senior Vet Dr Srinivasulu
• Emergency Services: To provide effective, nighttime emergency services, the Association has efficient veterinarians from different zones of Hyderabad as part of its team
• Control of stray dogs: By conducting an Animal Birth Control programme, we perform Orchidectomy and Ovariohysterectomy surgeries, to control the stray dog population causing a menace.
• Anti Rabies Vaccination: At AWS, we give each dog an AVR after a surgery, thereby ensuring its good and healthy life. Ever since 2004, AWS is conducting free ARV programmes at Vizag and various parts of the twin cities to prevent the dreaded disease Rabies. In cooperation with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, we conduct the Anti Rabies and ABC Programs.
• Orchidectomy: AWS successfully performs this surgery where we make the male dogs sterile by surgically removing their testicles. This surgery helps in minimising the sexual temperament in male dogs thus losing their tendency to fight with other male dogs over a bitch in heat, resulting in fatal physical injuries.
• Ovariohysterectomy: We perform this surgery on female dogs where the ovaries and the uterus are surgically removed. As a result, the bitch never comes on heat ie oestrous and develops no sexual urges and pheromones to attract male dogs. This surgery is good for the bitches because they become more friendly and healthy, as there is no blood loss during the heat period. There is no pregnancy, no pups, and no lactation, less stress, no anaemia, no calcium deficiencies, no whelping, and life threatening risks during pup deliveries leading to a healthy peaceful life. With no provocation to biting humans, this surgery helps in stopping the menace caused by female dogs.
• Pet Adoption: When you are looking to add a pet to your life, consider adopting a homeless animal from your local shelter.
